Civic Results Team

Together, Civic Results principals and staff have nearly 70 years of high-level policy development, process management and design and civic engagement experience. The Civic Results team includes founding Principal Peter Kenney, Senior Associate and Program Director of the Metro Mayors Caucus, Catherine Kearney Marinelli; Program Director of Livable Communities Support Center, Paige Heydon-McCrary, Program Director of the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Commission, Michele Baker, Schools & Early Childhood Team Manager Wendy Peters Moschetti; Administrator Colleen Murphy, and Program Associate Amanda Limbaugh.

photo of Peter Kenney

Peter Kenney is a Principal and co-founder of Civic Results. Peter has more than twenty years of policy development and management experience as an elected official in municipal and county governments, including service as a mayor and a county commissioner in Clear Creek County. Peter was a member of the Board of Directors of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) for seven years, serving as chair of the Executive Committee from 1990 to 1993, and vice chair of the Board from 1990 to 1993. Peter chaired DRCOG's Long Term Care Task Force and served on the Transportation Committee (MPO). Peter served as president of Colorado Counties Incorporated and as chair of various committees and task forces for the National Association of Counties. Peter helped found the Metro Mayors Caucus and since 1993 has provided strategic policy advice and facilitation services to Caucus members. Peter was the recipient of a Gates Foundation Fellowship for the State and Local Government Executive Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Peter was selected as the 1987 Colorado County Commissioner of the Year, received the 1984 Common Cause Good Citizenship Award, the 1992 Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Counties in 1992 and the Distinguished Service Award from DRCOG in 1993. He is the 1997 recipient of DRCOG's John V. Christiensen Memorial Award for extraordinary contributions to regionalism. Beginning in late summer 2003, Peter served under contract for the U.S Agency for International Development in Baghdad, Iraq as a principal advisor to new local governments throughout Baghdad Province.

photo of Catherine Marinelli

Catherine Marinelli is a Senior Associate at Civic Results and the Director of Policy and Programs for the Metro Mayors Caucus. Since 1996 Catherine has worked with the Caucus to identify and address critical regional and local policy issues and implement Caucus policy initiatives. Catherine organized the Caucus' five-year $100 million mortgage bond program and served on the policy team facilitating the Mile High Compact on growth management. Catherine also led the MMC effort to partner with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority to create a $50 million pool of funds for the finance of transit oriented affordable multi-family rental housing along the region's transit corridors. Recently, Catherine drafted and oversaw the multi-jurisdictional process to refine and adopt the Denver Metropolitan Local Government Water Stewards Memorandum of Understanding signed by 27 jurisdictions and endorsed by more than 16 organizations and Governor Bill Owens. Also in the area of water conservation, Catherine led the multi-jurisdictional effort to draft Best Management Practices for water conservation (demand side) currently in use as an appendix to the Colorado Water Conservation Board's Model Water Conservation Plan. Catherine has worked on special projects for agencies, local governments and foundations including the Regional Air Quality Council, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the Counselors of Real Estate, and The Denver Foundation. Catherine has a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, public administra'ion's honor society. Catherine also holds a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Colorado State University.

photo of Paige Heydon-McCrary

Paige Heydon-McCrary is a Senior Associate at Civic Results and the Program Director of Livable Communities Support Center. At Civic Results Paige manages a number of local and statewide healthy eating and active living initiatives including the LiveWell Wheat Ridge project, the Healthiest Communities Team of the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Commission and, work on a national research effort to design a healthy eating active living peer-to-peer learning network. Paige also works on a number of projects aimed at promoting pedestrian friendly community design and transit oriented development in the Denver metro area. Paige is part of the 2007 Emerging Leaders Program of the Downtown Denver Partnership and as a participant, is working to help develop a business engagement plan for the Greenprint Denver Program. Prior to LCSC, Paige was the Administrative Director at Civic Results and the Interim Executive Director for the Colorado League of Women Voters. Paige hails, most recently, from the Northwest where she developed a special interest library collection and coordinated a high volume grants program at a Seattle-area foundation which focused on exploring long-term futures. Paige holds a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science as well as a Masters of Nonprofit Management, with honors, from Regis University.

Michele Baker joined Civic Results in 2004 as a Program Associate. Michele's responsibilities include web design and content management, conference and event planning, and all aspects of program implementation. In her tenure at CR thus far, Michele has become the staff "jack of all trades". Michele has been the Administrative Director, the interim manager of the Alliance for Regional Stewardship (a partnering organization) and most recently, Program Director of the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Commission (MDHWC). In this capacity, Michele is the chief staffer of the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Commission. Michele is a graduate of Ohio University where she received a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Management and Communications and a Minor in Psychology. Michele is also the founder and former trustee of the Five Angels Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Ohio.

photo of Wendy Peters Moshetti

Wendy Peters Moschetti joined Civic Results in the fall of 2007. Through her work at Civic Results, she manages the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Schools & Early Childhood Team and supports the work of the MDHWC Healthiest Communities Team to develop access to local, healthy foods. Wendy has also worked with the national Healthy Eating-Active Living Convergence Partnership, helping to conduct their formative research effort to design a healthy living peer to peer learning network. Prior to joining the Civic Results team, Wendy was the Project Coordinator for the Gardens for Growing Healthy Communities project, a 4-year research project funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention based at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. Prior to moving to Colorado in 2005, Wendy was a Project Manager at the planning, design and communications firm, Moore Iacofano Goltsman (MIG), Inc, in Berkeley, CA, specializing in collaborative planning for rivers and watersheds, parks and recreation, and county social services. Wendy holds a BA in Social Work from the University of Washington and a Masters in City Planning from the University of California-Berkeley.

Colleen Murphy joined the Civic Results team as administrative director in March of 2007. Colleen provides administrative support to all the Civic Results programs and projects and is the staff bookkeeper. Colleen also provides technical support at Civic Results keypad technology meetings. Colleen holds a BA in International Comparative Politics and a minor in Spanish from Western Michigan University. Colleen is passionate about grassroots organizing and worked on a number of issues in her home state of Michigan including the movement to create a union for homecare workers and to create a living wage standard. Colleen has also worked on various political campaigns in the Midwest.

Amanda Limbaugh joined Civic Results in the fall of 2007 as a Program Associate. Amanda provides support and coordination to all of Civic Results programs. Amanda holds a BA in International Studies and a minor in Public Health from the University of North Florida. Prior to joining Civic Results, Amanda travelled extensively throughout Central America and volunteered for various environmental organizations in Florida.
